Choosing Men's Designer Clothes For The Tall, Thin Body Shape

!±8± Choosing Men's Designer Clothes For The Tall, Thin Body Shape

There is a theory held by some that men's designer clothes have some sort of magical ability to transform any man, with any figure, into the ideal shape, size and style. In fact the truth is that if you make the wrong choices then it doesn't really matter how much you spend on men's designer clothes, you'll still not achieve the look you're after.

It's important to know not only what shape you are, and accept this, but to dress correctly in a way which will help enhance your strengths, and disguise those elements of your physique you're not overly thrilled about. For men who are very tall and skinny getting it right can be difficult, so what advice should you follow when choosing men's fashion clothing in order to help prevent you from looking as though you might be able to disappear by turning sideways or evade capture by hiding behind particularly thin lamp posts?

Most women prefer men to have a bit of meat on them, and skinny men don't tend to score quite as well in general. One of the things you'll be trying to do if you are on the thin end of being skinny is to try to bulk up a bit, or at least choose designer clothing which helps accentuate your width without making you appear any taller. Wearing clothing which makes you look even taller will simply stretch you out even further in the eyes of everyone else, which will make you look even thinner.

Horizontal stripes are quite good for helping to add width, or at least give the impression of width. So try choosing shirts and tops which incorporate horizontal stripes or a horizontal design, as this will help flatter you much more than plain clothes. Avoid vertical stripes as this will simply make you look slimmer and taller. A particularly good tip is to find a top such as a t-shirt or sweatshirt which has a single coloured band or stripe running horizontally across the chest. This really helps enhance the width of your chest, creating the illusion of a more inverted triangular shape which can be very flattering.

For the taller, skinnier man colours are important too, and one thing to try to avoid is wearing the same colour from head to toe. Wearing a black top, black trousers and black shoes will tend to have the effect of making you look even thinner. It's a good idea to break the sections of your body up to reduce the overall appearance of height, making you seem a little fuller.

For men wanting to achieve the illusion of a little extra height then wearing the same colour shoes and trousers, or trousers and top is a good tip, but if you're either very tall or very thin, or both, then this will be a bad choice. Unlike other men you can play around with different colours and have fun - there are plenty of men's designer clothes in a whole range of exciting colours to choose from.

Some thin men feel that loose clothing such as a loose, baggy untucked shirt will help give them the appearance of more bulk, but unfortunately this tends to have the opposite effect. If you've ever seen a yacht with its sail only half up in a wind then you'll get the right idea. Loose clothing flapping about just tends to make your slender build even more obvious, and so it's much better to opt for fitted clothes, including shirts and tops.

Finally, when looking for men's designer clothes that will help enhance a tall, thin body shape, choose square toed shoes over round toed shoes as this will help to compliment those elements of your appearance as detailed above. Of course, you could always ignore all this advice and just live on pizza for a year, which could certainly help with any issues about being too thin!
